High Peak Area Group of the Reliant Sabre and
Scimitar Owners ClubThe RSSOC is a national club but has regional
groups all round the country. The High Peak Area Group in general terms
covers the area south of Manchester, NE Cheshire, and north Derbyshire. The
group was reformed about 5 years ago and now meets on a regular basis at The
Olde Pack Horse public house in Chapel-en-le-Frith on the first Tuesday of
the month.
Members who attend own a wide range of cars, from an early Sabra which
returned from Israel via Switzerland to the Sabres from the late ‘80s with
numerous GTE’s and GTC’s. No one in the area currently has a Middlebridge
Scimitar but of course any model is welcome at our events.
As a group we go to some local classic car shows which are usually in aid
of a charity, such as Hope Valley Lions Classic Car Show and also to the
large commercial show at Tatton Park near Knutsford. The Owners club events
are well supported with the National rally being at Curborough Sprint Course
near Lichfield, Staffordshire in August. There are runs out to a variety of
places with examples being the Historic Rally Car Register evening at Lower
Peover and Crich Tramway Museum in Derbyshire.
Any Scimitar owner is welcome
to come along to the meeting. If you would like information or directions
please contact me Allan Inwood via email
